An adventure biopic, based on the 2009 book (of the same name) by David Grann. It’s about the British explorer Percy Fawcett; who disappeared in 1925, with his son, on his fourth expedition trying to find a lost city in the Amazon. The film stars Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller and Tom Holland. While the film is a little too slow-paced at times. I mostly found it to be a very well made and entertaining movie (especially for a biopic). I just wish the colors were brighter. The jungle is vibrant and here everything is muted.
I feel like the movie tries to gives us the real account of a man’s life. I can respect that, but the two hours and thirty minutes this film comes in at was not easy to get through.
