Never pass up a Christopher Plummer movie.
This is a finely acted, superbly casted drama about one man’s relationship with his son, and what he is willing to do to have a few more days with him.

Will Cutter: I just never see you guys hug, or say you love each other.
Joseph Cutter: Yeah, well I don’t do that. But he knows.
Will Cutter: You sure?
Joseph Cutter: I didn’t tell your grandmother either. But she knew. Why? Because words don’t mean shit in this world, Will. It’s what a person does for you that counts.

It is about the relationship between a convicted father (Ray Cutter – John Travolta) and his son with cancer (Will Cutter – Tye Sheridan) and the grandfather (Joseph Cutter – Christopher Plummer).
