Hercules

Must Go
A rock solid adventure. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was born to play this role, after ten years in the gym. His performance is electrifying and we are still debating the question: is he a demigod?
The cast is wonderful. Starting with Ian Mc Shane. You remember him from Lovejoy or Deadwood (you motherfxx @!! czx@ sucker). He plays Amphiaraus a soothsayer who keeps predicting his own death. Herc does not let that happen in hilarious ways. Then we have Rufus Sewell from Masterpiece Mysteries “Zen”. How about a little John Hurt, you surely remember Mr. Ollivander the wand maker from Harry Potter. Okay the only thing we are missing is a great girl archer like Katniss Everdeen of the Hunger Games or Tauriel from the Hobbit. May I present, Atalanta (Ingrid Bolso Berdal) an Amazon warrior and a deadly killing machine with bow and arrow. Shooting three arrows at once and hitting three distinct targets. I am still missing several of the great cast members.
The story is solid. I love seeing large battle scenes. The first thing I think about is, “I wish I had the catering concession on this one!” Then I remember CGI and the Oompa Loompas from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – there may be only one.
